June 24 - June 30
A workshop that will take place on the
route from Marseille to Athens
becomes the occasion of a conversation on the redefinition of architecture
today
80 years after the 4th CIAMs architectural congress (Congress International de l' Architecture Moderne) and 70 years after the Athens Charter’s publication (Charte d'Athènes)
a group of
architects, artists, and theoreticians, will meet and work during a travel from
Marseille to Athens, inspired by the 4th
CIAMs architectural congress that took place on board the S.S. Patris, an ocean-going
liner journeying from Marseilles to Athens in July 1933. During the journey the
group will stop and present the process of the project in the cities of
Marseille, Ancona and Athens .
